Ashley and Dane’s wedding was on the most beautiful spring day after weeks of cold and rain. I was nervous for days leading up to this mid-May Saturday, and then the rain stopped, the temps rose, and it ended up being absolutely perfect!
Their wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Country Lane Lodge in Adel and it was a dream! I loooove when everything is in one location! It is so easy to capture all the details and spend a little more time on photos when we aren’t racing around. That can be fun too, but this is so much simpler, and I’m a simple gal! I loved every minute of Dane and Ashley’s beautiful day.
Ashley and Dane had a long engagement and spent months making bouquets, floral arrangements, centerpieces and more. I love a personal touch and I adore pink flowers. What is more perfect for spring?!
Ashley lost her mom 4 years ago and included the most beautiful details into her bridal trousseau. I knew Ashley had a goldfinch tattoo on her arm in remembrance of her mom and wanted to incorporate that into her detail photos.
Ashley’s mother-in-law helped her dress and get ready for her wedding day which shows how much love is in these two united families. I loved that so much!
Dane’s niece and nephews were the cutest little ring bearers and bubble blowers ever, weren’t they?
After a beautiful outdoor ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with lawn games and sunshine- another aspect I loved about this location! It was like a garden party and a backyard BBQ all rolled up into a beautiful country wedding.
After several funny and a few emotional toasts, (I may have shed a tear or two at this one!) the reception was underway with a delicious buffet dinner, first dances and hours of partying on the dance floor. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Brackemeyer!!!
