I'M RACHEL
I grew up in the era of supermodels—Cindy Crawford, Nikki Taylor, Christy Turlington. I was obsessed and convinced that a l similar life on the runway was my destiny.
I spent a few years chasing that dream: photoshoots, a local modeling agency, even hauling my portfolio to New York City with big expectations. Spoiler alert: I did not become a supermodel. (Shocking, I know.) Turns out, the universe had a slightly different plan for me.

Here's the thing...
While I may not have made it onto a runway, I did discover something even better. The photoshoots were my favorite part of that entire chapter. Every time I stepped in front of the camera, something shifted. No matter how out of place or unsure I felt in everyday life, I felt confident, alive, and completely myself during those moments.
That feeling never really left me. Now, I get to stand on the other side of the camera and watch that moment happen for someone else—the moment when they relax, light up, and start to feel like themselves. That’s the magic I’m chasing every time I pick up my camera.
Because you don't have to be a supermodel to feel like one.
I live a country life outside of Des Moines with my husband and 3 kids, where we've been curating our own version of paradise with a growing collection of animals, a whole lot of fresh air, and endless projects. On any given day, you can find me juggling farm life, photo sessions, and family, and probably talking to animals
(they are excellent listeners).
I'm a firm believer that the best things in life are usually the simplest. Give me a quiet day, my kids, some sister time, a perfect 70-degree afternoon, and a float in our pond- or on a lake during vacation- and I'm in my happy place. Bonus points if there are absolutely no flies. (Seriously... no flies.)
